This is an exhibition of work by Maeve McCarthy which includes new paintings, charcoal drawings, objects, and a film.
Maeve is a Dún Laoghaire-born, Dublin-based artist whose work explores memory, place, and the passage of time.
She mainly works in painting and drawing.
For this exhibition, McCarthy looks at her family’s past - from County Down in the 1920’s, and on to Sandycove in the 1930s.
She revisits gardens, houses, and familiar paths from the past and weaves a story about the things we hold onto and how our history shapes who we are.
The exhibition will be open 10am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm Friday and Saturday, and from 12 noon to 4pm Sundays.
