The Dargan Forum is Europe's boutique conference on the intersection between technology & social innovation.
The Dargan Forum first took place in 2023 in the wake of the launch of Chat GPT, the visible manifestation of the ever increasing pervasiveness of technology at a time when many are already under pressure to cope and adapt to constant change.
The Dargan Forum is supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and brings together speakers and experts to share insights on how technology can be harnessed for the benefit of localities, small businesses and communities across Ireland.
The Dargan Forum is expanding this year by including a number of parallel sessions such as sustainable energy, empowering small businesses, providing Smart solutions to localities and connecting localities to their diaspora through genetic genealogy.
Our audience last year was made up of:
- Change makers from across the country, particularly rural areas that would like to learn how localities can become platforms for sustainable jobs through technology
- Hub managers who came to find out how their hub can become a driver of a better, more sustainable way of life for their locality
- Government officials from departments concerned with economic and rural development.

Minister of State Calleary T.D.
