Free Guided Walk

The Dublin Mountains Partnership Volunteer Rangers will lead this easy paced walk in Coillte’s Barnaslingan and Carrickgollogan woods.

Along the route the Volunteer Rangers will tell the story of both woods taking in features wrought by the last glaciation at the Scalp, along with the industrial heritage landscape at Carrickgollogan and the positive changes the Dublin Mountains Makeover project is bringing to both woods.

Walk Length: 4.5km

Walk Difficulty: moderate, to short, steep sections and trail surfaces which are a mix of gravel trails, rocky forest floor along with short sections of county road.
