Historic Dún Laoghaire

George’s Street – past, present, future

Free Guided Walk

Dún Laoghaire’s historic main street has witnessed many changes since its 19th century origins. With two revitalised public spaces in development at either end of Lower George's Street, an exciting new open air gallery of street art and a pedestrianisation trial underway, there is no better time to look back to go forward!

Join renowned local historian, Tom Conlon, author of Victorian Dún Laoghaire, for a short guided stroll from St. Michael’s Church along the newly car-free street. Tom will share the stories of the buildings along the way and the people who lived and worked here through the years.
